A selection of UV-spot curing/bonding applications:

1) (GIF) Components for medical devices
A) Bond two plastic tubes simultaneously into a Y-deviation of a catheter. Use 4-legged light guide, 2*2 ends from two sides for better curing symmetry; the water-pressure test gives values above 28 bar.(Invatec)
B) Connect faucet?/tube with double light guide, from two sides for better curing symmetry.(BBraun)
C) Assembly of several tubing connections on automatic assembly machine; always with double light guide, different materials do not allow solvent bonding; Italy)
2) (GIF) Heart-lung machine for heart operation = our highest added value UV-bonding process for medical devices: the upper two PC bowls with a circumference of 60cm are "glued" together on a lathe in 60s; before that, with two-component adhesive with 12h of oven-curing; Dideco/Sorin Group
3) (GIF) Rear-view mirror: bonding of metallic heaters on mirror glass with a cationic adhesive (activated by UV, anerobic "shadow" curing; source DELO

9) Stereolithography: assemble, repair of plastic resin prototypes; 3DSystems/customers, others
10) Inkjet printing freezing/nipping of special inks, using 60mm wide QF light band. Access/credit cards; also for bonding chip, antenna.
