Advantages of UV polymerisation

No volatiles: UV-adhesives are one component systems with long pot life - typically several months, not minutes. They are solvent-free, therefore ecological.

Short cycle times: Automatic dispensing and assembly times take only seconds.

Process advantages: The UV spot heats the parts locally; after fixing, they can be moved slightly for adjustment before final cure (optics, sensors, seringes)

Testing of bond: can be done rapidly after curing; waiting about one hour allows the bond to improve further (post curing and stress relief effects)

Results: The bond is often better and more flexible than mechanical methods.
